Is Klinodiet a medical device?
No. It is record-keeping and workflow software. It does not interpret values, recommend interventions, diagnose, or alert, and it does not perform a medical purpose within the meaning of Article 2(1) of Regulation (EU) 2017/745. See the "Intended purpose" page for the full statement.
Does it suggest meal plans or foods?
No. Every item in a meal plan is entered by the licensed dietitian. Klinodiet stores and formats what you compose — it does not propose what you should write.
Where is my patients’ data stored?
Locally on your computer, in an encrypted database. There is no cloud, no account, and no sync. Backups are also encrypted and stored in a folder you choose.
Who can use it?
Licensed clinical dietitians and qualified nutrition professionals. At first run, a declaration of professional status with a license or registry number is required.
Which operating systems does it run on?
Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). For other platforms, contact us.
