Intended purpose

Klinodiet is a record-keeping and workflow software for use exclusively by licensed clinical dietitians and qualified nutrition professionals in their professional practice. It allows the user to: (a) manually record patient demographic, anthropometric, and dietary information; (b) compose and store meal plans the user designs; (c) generate PDF reports of records the user has created. The software computes published mathematical reference values (BMI per WHO formula; BMR per Mifflin-St Jeor 1990) from values the user inputs. It does not interpret these values, recommend interventions, diagnose, monitor, predict, treat, or alert. All clinical interpretation, dietary prescription, and therapeutic decisions are made exclusively by the licensed user based on their independent professional judgment. Klinodiet is not intended for use as a medical device within the meaning of Article 2(1) of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and does not perform a medical purpose. It is not intended for use by patients, unqualified persons, or for self-management of any condition.
